If you’re starting your own wrestling studio you’ve got to be thinking about a few things outside of the sign for the street and your smallbusiness.xo internet. Here are a few marketing ideas you should consider to get your studio off to the right start
Advertise at Matches – Building hype is the best thing you can do before the business opensget people anticipating the grand opening and you won’t have any trouble filling the place up once the doors open.

Of the hundreds of wrestling matches put on every year, many are great, and some are even memorable, but few are good enough to be remembered decades later. Here’s a look at some wrestling match-ups that have made history. Every wrestling fan owes it to himself to watch these feuds at least once.
Many believe that NWA’s feud between Ric Flair and Ricky Steamboat in the 1980s produced the greatest matches American wrestling has ever seen. The only disagreement is which of their matches was better — the epic 54-minute two-out-of-three-falls match at Clash of the Champions in April 1989, or their title match a month later at the Music City Showdown. From their first meetings in the late 1970s, Flair and Steamboat brought the best out of each other in and out of the ring. Fans loved the humble, determined Steamboat just as much as they loathed the arrogant loudmouth Flair,
Bret Hart was involved in many memorable feuds in his career, including with Steve Austin, the British Bulldog, and his cousin Owen Hart, but his greatest feud was probably with Shawn Michaels in the 1990s WWF. The Hart/HBK feud was nasty business, driven by a genuine hatred between the men behind the scenes, but the bad blood only pushed them to produce awesome matches, like their iron man match at Wrestlemania XIII in 1996. The feud ended explosively with the infamous Montreal Screwjob in 1997, a moment that has been imitated and referenced countless times in later years.
Other historically important match-ups worth a look include:
Undertaker vs. Mankind, WWF, 1990s — immortalized by Mick Foley’s Hell in a Cell plunge
Flair vs. Sting — one of wrestling’s longest-running feuds, spanning over 30 years and three promotions
Tommy Dreamer vs. Raven, ECW, 1990s — brutal battles between the seemingly unstoppable Dreamer and Raven’s Flock
Steve Austin vs. Vince McMahon, WWF, 1990s — the birth of WWF’s “Attitude Era”
